Jorrik of the Stonehammer Clan

This afternoon I'll share Jorrik of the Stonehammer Clan, a Dwarf Barbarian who lives with his tribe - The Stonehammer Clan - in The Darklands.  Jorrik spent much of his youth exploring these treacherous cavern with other members of his tribe, which gave him a vast knowledge of the unending subterranean passageways and the creatures (intelligent and unintelligent alike) that dwell within.



Jorrik is a proud, strong and hearty Dwarf who wishes nothing more than to protect his home and friends from the fiends that inhabit The Darklands.  He would be an excellent ally for the party but could also function as a temporary enemy if the group encounters him in the Darklands before convincing him they mean the members of The Stonehammer Clan no harm.  In such a case, Jorrik would act to protect his home from the intruders and would need to be convinced through the use of skills that the party is no threat to his home and friends.  After allying with Jorrik, he would make an excellent guide for any parties exploring the Darklands.

Like many members of his clan, Jorrik has a few alternate racial traits:

  • Ancient Enmity - Like many other dwellers of the Darklands, the Dwarves of the Stonehammer Clan have had much experience dealing with the Drow.
  • Deep Warrior - Many Aberrations, dangerous and alien creatures also live in the Darklands.  Warriors of The Stonehammer Clan have taken it upon themselves to protect their homes from these menacing creatures.
  •  Magic Resistant - Resistance to magic run deep within the blood of members of the Stonehammer Clan.  This resistance is so pervasive that even helpful and healing spells are naturally resisted.
  • Minesight - Many members of The Stonehammer Clan have never seen the light of day since they live deep beneath the earth.  As a result, their eyes have adapted to darkness and are susceptible to bright light.
