Celes Cray

Tonight I'm introducing you to Celes Cray, a male Strix Wizard I'm actually planning on playing as a PC in an upcoming campaign.

As a hatchling, Celes's tribe was wiped out due to a natural disaster, resulting in the deaths of all of the 132 tribes-members.  Only months old, Celes was spared for an unknown reason.  Though incredibly scared and sad at the loss of his parents and other members of the tribe, he survived the natural disaster unharmed.


As he mourned the loss of his family, he was found by Elven missionaries from a temple of Keltheald, the god of natural formations, sunsets, & vistas.  A young priest and her wizard husband, Lilliana and Kenner respectively took the hatchling in and raised him as one of their own, giving him his first and surname.  Furthuremore, Kenner saw magical aptitude in his adopted son, and began teaching him the art of the arcane.

Kenner, a student of the Void school of magic taught Celes this specialty school as well.  As a student of The Void, Celes has become adept at detecting shifts in the magicks that permeate the world, just like his father before him.  He also has shown great aptitude for crafting mundane and magical items and has learned how to enchant scrolls and wondrous items; and, is learning how to inscribe magical tattoos.

At 3rd Level, his apprenticeship has drawn to a close and has left his home in the Elven monastery to join the Pathfinder Society in order to find out what natural disaster took place 22 years ago and why he alone was spared.

I've given him some alternate race features to reflect his adoption into Elven society.  He is no longer nocturnal and his hatred racial feature has been replace with Lightbringer, an Elven alternate feature to reflect his arcane training under his father's tutelage who also shares that particular alternate racial trait.

Since I designed him to be a PC, he would make an excellent ally for the party.  Additionally, he could function has a tough enemy since he focuses on the Void school.

He has a familiar as his arcane bond, a rabbit named Mr. Bunn.  (Props if the get the reference).
